Adding a new picture to your phone is now easier than ever with version 4 of the Polyphonic Wizard.
The Wizard will take care of the image re-sizing, and format conversions automatically for you, all you need to do is select a picture, make sure it is the right way up (by using the rotate control), and then send it to your phone.
From the initial screen click the 'Add a new picture' button.
Select a picture file
The first step is to select a picture file. The Wizard will present a screen like this...

Click the 'Load a picture' button to load a picture. The picture will appear in the preview window so you can see it before loading it to your phone. We have loaded the 128x128.gif sample for this example.
You can now use the buttons to rotate the image to suit your phones screen format, and turn it between color and black and white.
Once you have finished editing the picture, click the continue to next step button.
Transfer the picture to your phone with the Direct Wap Server
The final step is to transfer the picture to your phone.
Click the 'Continue to next step' button and the Wizard will ask you to obtain a connection to the internet and then click continue.
You need to ensure at this point that you pc is connected directly to the internet. Normal modem, adsl, cable connections etc are classed as direct connections, the exceptions are proxy servers or routers which are in-direct.
Under normal usage, you do not need to disable your firewall software such as Norton or Zonealarm.
Once you have a connection, click the continue button and the Polyphonic Wizard will check the connection is direct, then tell you a web address to type into your phone.
The web address will look like http://123.456.789.000 (this is just an example - use the address given by the Polyphonic Wizard).
Now, on your phone locate the WAP browser, or Internet browser and use the goto url, or bookmark feature to enter, and goto the url given to you by the Wizard.
Once your phone has connected, and started to download the picture the Wizard will display a final 'finished' screen.
Wait until your phone completes the transfer before moving from this screen, and enjoy your new picture!
As WAP connections are quite slow, allow a couple of seconds per 1kb of file size for the transfer, for example a 10kb file could take up to 20 seconds to transfer - be patient.
Transfering the picture using the Intermediate WAP Server
If you are using the intermediate wap server to transfer pictures, you will need to make sure the image size is set correctly in the file-> options menu. This is simply because the Polyphonic Wizard will be unable to determine the size as it will never talk to your phone, as is the case with the direct wap server.
The format will still be converted automatically for you, you only need specify the image size.
