Workshop Privacy Policy - Polyphonic Wizard
The Coding Workshop Limited take the issue of protecting your privacy very seriously.
By ensuring you are aware of, and understand our privacy policy we can provide you with a better service. Please take a few minutes to read the following page to learn how we handle your personal information.
Why is information collected:
The Coding Workshop only collect the minimum amount of information needed to service your order and keep you informed about our products.
You are not required to enter any personal information until you order.
How is information collected:
Information is collected through the ordering registration process, or through e-mail enquiries. Information is always collected lawfully.
What information is collected:
We collect any information given at the time of registering or ordering needed to service your order, or provide the service you request from the web site, for example if you place an order
using a credit card we will ask for your name and address.
The information gathered is relevant to the task in hand, and is only gathered for the task and to allow us to offer you a better service.
We collect passive information for statistical analysis via use of cookies provided by third parties, for example Google. Please see the
section labelled 'cookies' for further information.
Where is information collected:
Information is collected on our website and the websites of the companies handling our order process (for example Register Now, SWreg or Paypal).
This information is collected where required to service your order or feedback request.
Information is not collected by any software available for download from our website.
Our software may create a 'hardware fingerprint' which you need to enter into our web site to create an unlock code. This unlock code is based
on a mathematical analysis of certain hardware components in your PC. The 'obtain key' button in the software opens a web page, automatically putting the hardware
fingerprint into this web page to help you create an unlock key and avoid typing errors. The hardware key is only sent to The Coding Workshop when you request a key,
and is then only used to generate the unlock key.
Opt out option:
The Coding Workshop may need to contact you after you order, for example to tell you about the progress of your order.
We also have a separate customer mailing list. We only send emails to this list on a very in-frequent basis, for example to let you know about software updates and you will not be inundated with spam email!
If you do not want to receive sales information from us let us know in the order comments box (this is shown after you complete your order) and we will remove you from the sales mailing list.
Cookies and interactive code:
If you have found the Polyphonic Wizard site through Google, Google may have added a cookie to your system so they can report to us how many
visitors they have sent that have subsequently ordered. This information helps us keep our prices low by using highly targeted advertising.
Some pages on the site may also, at times include web counter code from sitemeter.com which may also add a cookie. Like the Google
cookie this is simply added to help us keep costs down through statistical analysis.
Finally. Some pages may contain code from PHPLiveSupport. This code allows us to offer a live support service. If you see the 'CW
Live' logo at the base of this screen you can click it to access our live support service.
Sharing information:
We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We will only pass your details to our partner companies if this is required to service your order.
If you have any questions about our Privacy Policy please contact us.
